Community Funding Group is a certified Community Development Entity that operates in the the States of Washington and Oregon. CFG works with non-profit organizations by providing allocations that allow them to realize a significant financial benefit from the New Martkets Tax Credit program. The use of the program brings equity funding to the non-profit's projects that is typically in the range of 15-20% of its total cost.
To date CFG has received a $30 million allocation award from the CDFI Fund in October 2008. Since signing the CDFI Fund’s allocation agreement in January 2009, CFG has successfully, as of June 2009, deployed approximately $24 million of its allocation on 3 projects - (see “Projects” tab). Mid-Willamette Family YMCA is currently looking for allocation. The current building (25,000 square feet), which was built in 1960, is too small and designed for a community whose population was 30% of its current size. The new Mid-Willamette Family YMCA will be a spacious 60,000 square foot family recreation center, a modern, efficient intergenerational gathering place where people can come together to enhance their physical and mental well being through social interaction, wellness programs and physical fitness activities.
